Visiting Costa Rica

People who have visited Costa Rica still remain unfamiliar with its actual location on a map and this is because they are usually taken in awe by the breathtaking sights. Costa Rica is located in Central America and it is full of beaches that all flow into a major ocean not to mention a well known sea. On its northern front, the country is nest to Nicaragua.

In the region, Costa Rica is considered as an economically developed country. Its tourism industry is doing very well and the government is performing a great job in taking care of the country's rich natural treasures. It ranked first in the Happy Planet Index and was named the "greenest" country in the planet!

Aside from the great sights and amazing sounds of the country, the Spanish speaking people adds a little something extra to the mix. As nighttime draws nearer and nearer, funky music from restaurants and bars fill the streets. Because of the vastness of offerings from this country, it is no wonder that more and more people make it a point to visit this destination.

The main Costa Rican attraction is the beaches, which are some of the best beaches in the world. This particular country in Central America is home to one of the best surf spots in the region which goes by the name of Dominical Beach. For those who want to experience a different kind of nightlife, this is one of the places that provide excellent entertainment as well.

One other place that travelers head off to in this part of the world is Jac Beach which has bars and casinos that are open all night long. When it comes to Jac, the town, it is considered as a party beach paradise amongst tourists and locals. Aside from relaxing under the sun, you can go for a swim, surf, shop, and dine in the different restaurants that can be found in Jac.

By going to Playa Grande, you can take in everything that nature has to offer. The daily hustle and bustle might be too much to take and if this is something that you are experiencing, this white sand beach can give you that R&R that you are craving. This particular beach is known as the home of a certain species of sea turtle.

Rafting is one of the many popular activities for those who are a bit more adventurous than others. Rafting is very popular here since this country has the most number of rivers per square kilometer than any other countries in the world. Turrialba and Sarapiqui River are two of the popular rafting areas in the country and there is another location called Toro River which is also pretty sick.

Here is where fishing is another great thing to try out. If you want to do other things, give diving a try when you travel here. These activities are only the water related ones mind you.

In this part of Central America, bike routes reign supreme with courses passing through volcanoes and mountains. When it comes to this, you will surely like the paths passing through the Turrialba Volcano foothills. Another bikers' favorite is around Lake Arenal.

If you happen to find yourself in Costa Rica, you will surely have a lot of things to engage in. Do consider traveling for more than a week.
