How to Request Links from Other Bloggers

By Randall Nielsen

Blogging is considered to be one of the most effective methods for reaching a specific audience. No one can go against this. However, the key issue that bloggers have on a daily basis is trying to get their blogs seen and getting traffic to them. Bringing the correct the right type of targeted audience to your post is tremendously important. This is because without this, your blog will be useless. In order to achieve that, as a blogger, you should seek out to network with other bloggers. Acquire referral traffic by requesting these bloggers for links. Getting a backlink from another related blog will be very beneficial to you. It will not only get your blog exposed more, but it will directly get you more coverage per the search engines.

First, be certain that what you are offering is something that other bloggers do not want to go without. You can do this by upping the quality of your post and at the same time giveaway something to make it more interesting. All you have to do is give away a picture that is related to your post so that they can put it with your blog post. Even though this does not have to be done with all of your blog posts, but it works just fine when you are highlighting a specific product or service. For example, if your post is reviewing "Play Station 2", then you can give them a picture that's about it. Of course, you do need to own the copyright for this picture or it should be copyright free. Your intention is to help them make good posts without their working a lot at it. That is the focal point. When other bloggers can tell that you are working very hard to make things a lot better for them, they will have the desire to link to your blog.

Secondly, it's really not important that you link to the blogger first before asking for him. But on the other hand, if you have already linked to that blogger, then it would make a wonderful first impression. This shows the blogger that you made the effort to build a relationship in the past. Even though this strategy will not work for all blogs that you request a link from, but it is good somewhat.

Last, every one of your forward links have to have relevant information that the blogger's readers can use. Be extremely finicky in relation to forwarding your posts. This is because bloggers with good reputations will not link to vague content or any content that is not valuable to their readers. This forms an opening for you create a bond with the other bloggers in your niche. So don't make a wrong impression. Make sure that the blogger is not blogging in a niche that is not related to yours. The more specific you are in how you approach them, the better your results will be.

All in all, creating a blog is easy, even the content creation part isn't that difficult. But, when it comes to advertisement, you have to do whatever it takes to get your blog links out and at the correct moment.
